Unsafe Airways
Regular airplane accidents in Nepal has been creating
negative image within and even in International scenario. Although, after
Manohar’s mishap, such huge has not been observed, but still plane crashes are
happening as such, they are regular bike accidents.
This has been proving that our sky is not safe for flight. Only the domestic planes are being into the trouble of this, and hence, the question rises for civil aviation as well.
This has been proving that our sky is not safe for flight. Only the domestic planes are being into the trouble of this, and hence, the question rises for civil aviation as well.
There is not a single commercial Airline now that has been able
to maintain goodwill and ensure security. Every time you go to purchase a
ticket, you should remember the accidents that the particular Airlines had back
in the graph. However, accidents can be controlled, if not stopped. Where we
lack is at determining the actual reason of the accident, and hence the reality
remains suppressed. As a result, improvement cannot be made. An effective cycle
requires a good feedback, but absence of feedback will never let the process be
successful and move in a smooth path. Old and disposed off planes are bought
for use in Nepal, and that could certainly lead to delay of engine work, weaker
performance or accompanied with various troubles. Are the investors that poor
that they cannot import an effective and new engine machine for use?
It is five times expensive and ten times risky to travel in
Airplanes that in Bus, but still Nepalese prefer to travel in Airplanes. Not
because of its effectiveness but still because of its trust. It is because they
believe airlines a secured way. Has the airlines company been able to feel
this? Insurance amount is not an issue more than feeling of security. Nepalese
airways serious require a trustable service, upon which any customer can
blindly rely upon. Mountainous and hilly country would be excuse only if ships
in oceans start claiming island as their hindrance for smooth travelling.
Tourism industry is likely to get affected from such mishaps, because Jomsom
crash killed few, and the Bhaktapur’s mishap again killed almost a dozen of
tourists who came for their travel.
The major question that can be raised is the quality of
domestic air service industry in Nepal. This erases the excuse of making the
geographical location barrier as well.
After all, Thai Airways are having safe flights, then why our domestic
air craft’s are facing trouble? This can be the best answer for those who are
against Multinational companies in Nepal as well. Should Nepalese still depend
upon such unsafe airways or do we want safe airways through multinational
companies? Only, if Government permits them to enter into Nepalese airwaves,
people would certainly prefer them than our domestic airways.
How long can Government stop entry of multinational airways
industry in Nepal in this age of globalization can be first query? Not very
long of course, and basically when the citizens themselves are highly demanding
it. What counts first is their security of course.
Again, pilot’s ignorance has been regarded as next cause of
recent minor accidents. There must be some strong power, that has saved lives
hereby, but we seriously need deserving pilots. Not pilots, who some how manage
to pass plus two level, and fly abroad in the name of pilot education training,
and return back wearing white dress with stars. They really must be competent
enough and deserving one, because they are the one who can preliminary
determine the airplane’s technical stuffs. Their ignorance can led to huge
accidents anyway. Pilots must be selected in proper manner as well.
Although, main reason for such mishaps has been called as
the unfair competition for the mountain flights, it must be admitted that we
lack enough technologies as well, we do lack proper weather forecasting
technologies as well. At the time, when we can assure Mount Everest climbing
forecasting the weather, why cannot we bring such technologies in Nepal as
well? The fact indeed is shameful that, while trying to research on Air
crashes, Nepal always comes into priority list. How long are we going to move
in this unsafe route? Should we bring MNC’s or are we seriously going to
improve our flights?
It is usually rich and needy peoples who travel through
Airways. So, it would be better if they rather improve their quality and
provide assurance and charge double of today’s amount. May all you travelling
reach your destination. Have a safe journey!
