Brahmins are supposed to be the high class caste among the divisions made by Prithivi narayan Shah. Every Brahmins feel proud on being Brahmins and praise their fate. They even hesitate to get married to someone not belonging to their caste.
Brahmins were categorized as superior class handing them the responsibility of good tasks. They had to do the task of priests with lots of prayers. They had to play the role of teachers spreading good moral knowledge. They had to make others love every creature in the earth. They were handed with the responsibility of making world peaceful place with no terrors. They had to help others when needed. They had no rights to trouble other peoples. When all these duties were fulfilled, they were called Brahmins. Easy reorganization of Brahmins was possible through the threads and dress. This gradually modified and Brahmins appeared to be like other normal peoples.
Later the feelings of no caste discrimination and poverty bought these Brahmins into other professions like business, medicine etc. They were still superior till then and used to get entire privilege. This made them go down. Brahmin then started eating meat, which further proceeded with smoking and drinking habit. Since they were on power their greed compelled them to go for corruption and finally today Brahmin is the worst caste among all. Take a look, it’s Brahmin who require luxury with meat and drinks. They don’t care other living creatures and make it a diet. Instead of teaching others not to smoke, they themselves smoke. The caste which never used to trouble others is busy in corruption. See it from HSEB to the country they are busy in corruption. They trouble citizens a lot. Today the power is authorized
with Brahmins itself. Three major parties are under Brahmin’s control and they are the rulers and they trouble the citizens. And the best part is despite the fact that the caste has been deteriorated, they boost on themselves.
Sudras, who were supposed to be the lower caste, today play the role of Brahmin. At least they don’t trouble as much as Brahmin do. They are at least with their responsibility. It’s true that the cast division has further taken place, but still the position is kept that high. I am Brahmin, but that doest mean that I don’t possess right to criticize the caste when there is something wrong. Even your son curses you when you do something wrong. Only if re modification of caste was done by some fair personnel, Brahmins would get the lowest position for sure. I remember the old Newar cursing Brahmin as he cheated him. Now even if you are Brahmin, ask yourself, ‘Are Brahmin supposed to be of the highest caste as per their work what they have been performing? It’s high time that Brahmins need to get alert about their real responsibility that was assigned for them. Else, very soon Brahmins will be considered the worst caste. Can we ignore the fact that Brahmins were the one for the death of those thousands of people? There
are the one to capture other’s property and reason for civil war? So if only Brahmins want to save their nose, if still they want to boost upon their caste, its an alarm. Trrringg!!
