Use of Vulgar Words

Jul 21, 2013

Country will certainly not be called 'advanced' unless the citizens get conscious about the country and their way of living. Although there are various factors responsible but there equally lies responsibility of we individuals. We all want respect from our society and we equally hope for status. We give equal importance to salary and status. We certainly won't happily do the job of barber if we are provided more salary leaving the job of manger just because of 'status'. We dream of being doctor, engineer, manager, nurse and earn good reputation in the society.

I opine that dream is initial step of reality, and one must dream to bring it into action. But we ignore the world today. We don’t realize the fact that we are deteriorating ourselves using vulgar words. It's amazing to imagine how this culture grew but it has been growing really in surprising speed. One don’t need to be shocked if he finds primary school boy colds his friends using vulgar words. This gives clear signification that the trend has been there from childhood level itself, and it has been like a fashion to use such rubbish words while talking with friends as well. It has made difficult for us to enter teashops with some respected person because there will be a group of boys talking using a lot of vulgar words and making the environment unfriendly. Although in college uniform, they don’t hesitate smoking
and using vulgar words. Not just there, it is difficult travelling in public vehicles with our respected ones just because of these sorts of words. Driver, conductor doesn't hesitate using these words at the time of speaking. We try to be formal simply when we are at such situations; we give a damn about peoples around us.

It is understandable that such words appears at the time when we are really angry, but the trend of using these words to show that it has been sticking in  to the mouth that pops out with every statement that we use. We look for status but we never realize that use of such words is degrading our status every now and then from the vision of third person who is compelled to hear the stupid words from your mouth. Status certainly wont appear with our qualification, job title and property. One need to get adapted to social norms and must fit with the living style of the society. It is understandable that he has got friend circles, but he should certainly consider the environment at the time. It is really embarrassing moment when you travel with your grandmother in a public vehicle and there are vulgar words on the air.
Every aspects of society can be taken in both positive and negative way. Like, these non sense words can be regarded as the tool of measurement of qualified with illiterate people anyways. A boy making use of it can be regarded illiterate, while the boy not using it can be regarded as literate one. But, there has to be proper orientation for it. Only then this regarding thing can be considered hereby. Good orientation can be created from schooling itself. Basically students belonging to grade eight, nine and ten should be highly cared of in these issues. If they are completely prevented from the use of such words, the juniors will never get inspired from them to make a use out of it. It is basically the time when the student is in grade five, six and seven; they learn these words, from their seniors. So, at this time, schools must really be caring one for these set of students. It is possible if school administration to make control over it.
Many parents make use of these offensive words when they are really out of their mind. It might be they might be scolding a conductor or the guy who has been collecting the wastage from home; but they fail to understand that these words will at least make an impact over their children for sure. It is very much necessary for them to make use of it.
This is the age of social media. These words should be highly censored in social Medias as well, and strong supervision is required thereby as well. High number of influences appear from the celebs as well, basically at their informal time. These celebs will make influence over the group, at those times. And, various activists need to drop down into it, like there has been campaign of ‘People who urinate here is a donkey’; campaign as such can be started to demotivate thereby.

It has been shameful for us even when someone small asks meaning of such words to us! Let's at least make a contribution in making the sound clean. Let us live in a good cultured society!
