Congrats Dylan

Nov 25, 2016

In democratic country, any individual certainly have the right to speak and express their opinions. But that does not mean that they need to obstruct other’s routine simply to get voices heard. I remember
the strike called out time and again throughout world - be it Anna Hazare's movement in India or Tamil Tigers move in Sri Lanka, be it terrorist attack at France, or Bokoharam's moves simply to get their voices heard. Be it the agitation and protest simply to demand the chair, or to protest upon the drafting constitution there were strikes creating hindrances for normal living time and again.

Living in democratic country simply means you have right to protest, but do you have right to
create obstacle on normal livings of other peoples? Bob Dylan is my favorite singer for two reasons. First, I like the way he expresses his idea through the means of music in his songs, and yes they carry weight. There is meaning in every word that he express, something that would motivate revolution. Second, I seriously don’t think the music would rise beyond the world of Romeo and Juliet in his absence. I do respect Bob Marley though. Dylan is the one who inspired Beatles for their revolutionary music after all. It is clearly explained in "Last Testament of George Harrison". And Bob had power to heal and energy to act like fuel as well.

Dylan ways of singing can be the best lesson for you. I remember few South Asian Tracks, from Nepali to Pakistani that created the same sort of sense almost a decade back.

Leaders throughout the world need to learn a lot from him. Protests are not necessarily done through dropping down on the streets, or by calling for strikes closing entire normal moving routine Revolution may be done through war, through missiles but apart, there exists 'Dyalan's way' too.

When you have got nothing, you have nothing to lose. Behind every beautiful thing, there are pains beside them. Whatever you do in your daily life, you have to serve some body. These were some meanings that Dylan presented in his music. Mushrooming singers throughout the world needs to learn from him equally. They need to learn that music is not limited within the love or seductive relations among two opposite genders.

There are other things that can make music good and weighty as well, and life lessons could be one. There are other ways of making music strong part of literature. Why is other music failing to be inspirational songs? I am highly influenced, and whenever I am in trouble I try to say myself, ‘Let it be’ of Beatles. Sometimes, when I couldn’t figure out what am I doing, why am I doing certain thing, I remember Dylan’s song explaining ‘The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind’. Why are media not encouraging these sort of songs throughout the world? VH1 has not yet played songs of Dylan despite of winning Oscars too.

I am not criticizing anyone, but all I am trying to explain is the lessons that we seriously can learn from Bob Dylan. A leadership lesson, a music lesson, fan following lesson, respect gaining lesson
and ultimately life lesson!
On 13th October, Dylan was awarded Nobel Prize for Literature for “for having created new poetic expressions within the American song tradition.”Be it too late, his contributions are recognized - and thank god it is recognized while he is still alive. He taught the world that every part of literature has something to inspire and treat the entire world differently. He explained how perception can be manipulated with the power of words, and how words can create the impression.
Other part of world and music lies somewhere right behind. Nepali movie could not progress because it could not move ahead with the pace after 2000. There, where the audiences were looking for realism in movies; Nepali movies were still with old pattern and as a result, while neighboring Bollywood has turned out to be massive audience gaining movie industry, Nepali movie industry seems just stepping stone. The era of 2000 is right now for movies throughout the world - there are bunch of literate mass growing rapidly, and they are looking for something in literature. They don't want to waste their effort on listening/watching/reading/feeling literature for something meaningless. It's high time for South Asian music to move ahead with some similar phase.

Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize must be regarded and seen with 'lesson'. World has lot to learn from him. Congrats Bob!
