Tell The Truth

Sep 22, 2013
This is the story of Sri Lanka. The country, not so far from us, and I am not writing any fiction story hereby!

Ragihar
Jan, 2. 2006 is the date. Ragihar, a young guy was on the beach, near their home with his friends. All of sudden, his father heard bomb blast near the beach. Two of his brother returned back to home immediately, Ragihar did not. Within few minutes, Dr Manoharan, his father heard his son shouting 'Daddy'. His father rushed to the scene, but the navy guards did not allow him to enter into the pace. They rather turned the lights off, where he heard voices in Tamil crying asking for help!

Despite of his arguing, the guards did not let him in, and suddenly gunfire flared thereby. Later they said, 'Five civilians are dead and two are injured'....When he entered into the place, he saw first body of his son with five gunshot wounds. Manoharan was rather asked to sign the statement saying that his son belonged to Tamil Tigers and was fighting for the Tigers. He refused.

Later, the Government claimed that his son and his friends were killed in a grenade attack. Ever since, he took it as a challenge to the authorities. He had been recieving threats time and again. The family had to leave Sri Lanka as well.

Ragihar's Father, Dr Manoharan
The petention is closed, Dr M is about to deliver 47,545 signatures to the UN asking Sri Lanka to tell truth about his son's death.

This is not my request here to sign petition, rather share it as much as you can. Let all your world know, how Human Rights is violated. It is all his request to the Sri Lankan Government to tell truth!!

Thank you Amnesty International, Thank you my friend Jim McDonald for giving me the opportunity to blog it!!

Crossing the sea

Sep 1, 2013
You thought I was lost,
maybe criticized my promise as well.
I was dying to maintain the trust,
No, how could you see me pale?

I tried to cross the sea,
to hold your hand.
But, the waves sent me,
back, and kept me with the sand.

I was all up for your smile,
trying to work all night and day.
Never I closed our chapter's file,
No, don't trust them, they will burn the hay!

I tried to cross the sea,
to hold your hand.
But, the waves sent me,
back, and kept me with the sand.

Justice to Adhikari Family

Sep 1, 2013
It was back in 2004, Maoists allegadly abducted Krishna Prasad Adhikari from Bakular village on suspicion of being an informer. Later, the police investigation into the case was closed after the case was government decided in June 2006 not to pursue investigations into wartime cases pending the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).

The family has accused some Maoist leaders of kidnapping Krishna Prasad Adhikari and killing him in June 6, 2004, in Chitwan. The case was closed in 2006. In 2013, the couple started a brief hunger strike outside the Prime Minister’s official residence. As the government did not respond to their demand, they started a fast-unto-death.The investigation into the killing started in mid-August. Despite the Supreme Court's order to revive the case, there are pressures to supress the cases. Adhikari's parents are on hunger strike at Bir Hospital. The ignorance of Governement, is really a shameful thing, beause despite of Government's earlier promises, they are unable to ensure justice till the date. Adhikari family are passing through worst state in the Hospital.

They certainly are not demanding the life of their son, but are only demanding to know the real state that their son went through. They do have right to information! And what is wrong in bowing down the head if they have done something wrong?

Instead of threatning, call it invisible power or making various other excuse making claims, it would rather be appreciable if they make a proper talk with the family!

That is my voice under Raise Voice Make Noise (RVMN) Campaign!!
arents began a brief hunger strike in front of the prime minister’s house. When that yielded no results, they began the current hunger strike, which they vowed to continue until they have answers.
