Image result for trendyIt was back in early 2000, when the only singers recognized by youths used to be Nabin K. Bhattarai, Deepesh Kishore Bhattarai, Deepak Bajracharya, Om Bikram Bista. Khem Raj Gurung's contribution towards next category has to be appreciated. 1974 AD, Nepathaya, Robin and Looza, Cobweb used to be other consistent bands then. Gradually, there emerged other singers from Sugam Pokharel, Anil Singh to Girish Pranil. Nepali Music gradually started gaining specifications - Classical, Rock, Slow Rock, Rap, Metal, Pop, Folk, or Modern songs.

Till last few years, it was possible for any individual to listen each and every Nepali songs. However, it's no longer possible to listen every Nepali songs today. People have been moving as per their specialization - if they want rock numbers - they opt for The Shadows or Robin Tamang's number; or if they want melodious numbers they have Ram Krishna Dhakal or Sugam Pokharel. Similarly, there are Girish, Laure if it is for RnB, and so on with existing old classic numbers there itself.

Nepalese movies songs had been out in regular manner; but was failing to gain any huge attention during all these days. However, the situation is now entirely changed. People probably have no idea about new Girish's song; but all of them recognizes 'Kutu Ma Kutu' as Dui Rupaiya's song.

Be it in bars, restaurants or some tea cafes around; the songs being played are movies song in frequent manner. Or, be it in marriage or parties, these movie songs are obviously getting popular. Maybe it is all about time, because at the time Mad Zone's Keti Timi or Girish and the Unity's She is the bomb used to be popular number, and a trend; which gradually got replaced by some other genere songs. Bartika Eam Rai introduced new jazz music; 1974 AD tried shifting to jazz music; but maybe the demand of present time is realistic, appealing and factual lyrics filled song with some strong composition. Kutuma Kutu has more than 22million views; today Johnny Gentleman's song Jaba Jaba has been spreading like anything; or Fateko Jutta's song I am sorry has been gaining hype too. Let's not get that far; only if we try to remember few Nepali songs of last few year - Kale Dai, Chuk Chuk Rail, Jaalma, Thamel Bazar are the one that pops into anyone's mind. It is good to see Nepali songs having competition within the border itself; because people have now stopped comparing Nepali Music to Bollywood numbers or English songs; like they never compared gundruk with mushroom soup.

With thousands of Nepali songs in youtube; it is certainly good to see that the trend is taking us towards Nepali songs. Development of any sector within the entertainment sector is not all limited to it, as it has been fostering other several areas as well. Artists are having tough time in balancing their level, because Ram Krishna Dhakal shifted to pop when it was pop from his genre of music; it is important that singers get versatile enough to resemble the same. Let creativity surround from different areas; we do have huge potential within ourselves; we have best composers, we have best lyricists; we have great voices. I remember the time, when my choices of Nepali songs would prove me odd decade back among my circle. These competition within us has at least not created the scene where listening Nepali songs would be something odd thing to do.

Let that be something mysterious, if these songs are creating the trend; or if trend is bringing out these type of songs; but it has obviously united Nepalese; boundless; without any age bar. There are no age bars here, as we can see some old aged people listening to these songs and at the same time a kid too. School has these song dance numbers in their events, and so do colleges. It is obviously good to see that we are getting our own taste of music within the country itself.

New talents, new potentials, technological advancements, globalization has all contributed in upliftment of Nepali Music's standard. This is obviously impressive. Nepalese audiences have started prioritizing quality music. Nepali Music Industry is obviously heading towards upliftment.
