Helping Earthquake victims at Jhaukhel VDC of Bhaktapur

On 12^th May 2015, we collaborated with Rotract Club of Himalaya Patan for the relief distribution in Jhaukhel VDC, Bhaktapur

. The club had other relief stuffs like water purifier, dust bin, cookies, juices, fruits, sanitary pads etc. There was medical team with enough medicines as well, hence the medical checkup was conducted too. The targeted family members in this VDC were 126, and we collaborated with this club by handing our sanitary items that consisted of:

Mosquito Coil                                    126 packets (1 packet per family)

Dettol Liquid                                      126 units (1 bottle per family)

Tooth brush                                       252 units (2 units per family)

Tooth Paste                                        126 units (1 unit per family)

Lifebuoy Bathing Soap                   252 units (2 units per family)

Wheel OK Washing Soap              252 units (2 units per family)

Handiplast                                           504 units (4 units per family)

Masks                                                   504 units (4 units per family)

Shampoo Sachets                            504 sachets (4 sachets per family)

The second biggest earthquake of the season took place while we were at the relief support activity. There was 7.4 scale of quake while we were at the relief providing activity. The volunteer team must be appreciated for taking situation under the control and comforted the situation despite of fear within them. There was a gap of around an hour, and then the relief activity as well as medical checkup was carried on smoothly.
