Helping Earthquake Victims at Khokana

May 16, 2015

After being back to Kathmandu, we had to work on for the earthquake victims. As our first project, we went to nearby place.
It was Khokana VDC of Lalitpur district. Here we could distinctly see that almost all the houses were in worse condition, and appeared as if it could fall at any moment of time. They were all supported by bamboos, and the road was all filled up with the bamboos stick through which the house was given support.

There were peoples from various communities who were helping them. We could see Sardars of India cooking food. We came to know that they have been doing this since the day of earthquake. There was a platform where all those members of those affected houses used to stay together. Since our prime focus was on sanitation, we provided following items to 139 peoples who were staying there together.
Lifebuy Soap (Bathing Soap)                       100 units
Wheel OK Soap (Washing Shop)                100 units
Dabur Glucose  (Energy Drink)                    10 Packets
Handiplast                                                  100 units
Electrolyte                                                  100 units
Masks                                                        100 units.
