Raise Voice for Sri Lanka!

You don’t have to be Human Right Activist to speak for Human
Rights. Human Rights is not a single person’s concern, it is the concern of
entire era!
A son gets killed for no reason from the state, in front of
his father. We speak at the time of drinking tea, and show sympathy, feeling we
cannot do anything.
Election Commission’s Ignorance…
Nov 18, 2013
I was kind of confused, when Election Commission declared
that the vote would be allowed from Voters Identity Card, Citizenship, Driving
License, Passports and any other Government issued legal documents where the
photo is kept. I was really frustrated hearing this, later I got to know that
the information I got was not clear; things like Citizenship, Driving License,
Passports and any other legal documents would be actually accepted in case if
the voters don’t get the voters identity card! I was still not satisfied, but
consoled myself reminding those places of Nepal, where it might take days to
reach the place of distribution.
I was then frustrated towards Election Commission, why had
they done this task this late? Issuing the cards, just few days before election
was actually shameful!
I had checked my name earlier in the website of Election
Commission sometimes back, and, I went to receive my Voters Identity Card. To
my surprise, I did not find my name there at the place of distribution! I tried
to enquire people there, where security person obstructed me, saying it was my
fault. I did not hesitate to argue with him for my rights.
‘You are not allowed
to get in here’
‘Why? I am just for
inquiry!’ I replied.
‘Go and get into the
line!’
‘I don’t have my name
there, and you are talking of line?’
‘No! I am here to
provide security, you are not allowed in here!’
‘I said, I am just for
inquiry, and I am not creating any obstacle for your security!’
‘I can’t let you in!’
‘Look sir! I don’t
have my name included there, and you are asking me for something stupid! Be
logical!’
‘If you don’t have
name, you can’t vote! That’s it!’
‘What? And now, you
are to say me to vote or not? You are here to provide security, not to guide
citizens! How can I trust you? Tomorrow you may say whom to vote… ‘
My voice was creating some noise, and I could see him
getting flexible.
‘Okay sir, but if you
don’t have name, what can we do?’
‘I am not asking you
to do anything; I just want to know what should I do, because my name is there
in voter’s list, but not here!’
So, he allowed me to make inquiry. And my name was not
there, so I had no cards too. I rushed to Election Commission Office of
Biratnagar, and there were several peoples like me with same troubles.
Election Commission probably had enough time; it was there
carelessness that they delayed the task. It was just before 10 days they sent
the card to get printed. They obviously had enough budgets too. Their
carelessness is the prime cause for this!
And, at the time, when at other countries, this card plays
important role, the temporary voter’s identity card is shameful. No quality and
not of proper size, showed that entire drama they were doing since last three
years was all for the corruption!
I got the card late! Really late in fact, just before the day
of election. It was just that when my dad expressed my card missing to one of
the Party Member, he suggested me to go to next place, where there could be my
name.
I then came to know that, Election Commission had made the
decision of keeping two Voting Centers at my Region. I had no Idea, and my card
was at the next voting center, of whose I had no idea. The peoples involved
there could at least tell me, that there can be my name in another center. They
ignored that too…
Anyways, it’s now for sure… I’ll take part in election!
And I write...
Nov 8, 2013
You warn me, but I
don’t care.
You threaten me,
but I don’t fear.
I know my right,
Right to express,
no matter if I speak or write!
I hate corruption,
I hate lie!
No, I am not
suited with tie!
I look dirty, I
look dull and lazy.
My mind never free,
all time busy.
You warn me, but I
don’t care.
You threaten me,
but I don’t fear.
I know truth
pinch,
But, I can't
betray my profession single inch.
Writing is
expressing mind in paper,
Storing in other
mind, without making vapor.
I have to make
readers inspire,
And make them
work, as per my desire.
You warn me, but I
don’t care.
You threaten me,
but I don’t fear.
Paper is a gun,
pen can be called sword!
Here, everything
counts, even your single word!
I hardly get
satisfactory payment,
Not enough to feed
and pay my rent.
Still,
satisfaction is what I get,
and leaders,
businessmen or actors call me mate.
You warn me, but I
don’t care.
You threaten me,
but I don’t fear.
I continue to
write, and continue to write.
What ever I think
or whatever I sight.
I am a writer,
I respect doctors,
sweeper and even fighter.
And I hold my pen
tight,
Papers are clean,
and again I write!
Celebrating Tihar
Nov 2, 2013
Every single festival in Nepal has got its own religious importance. Like
Dashain is regarded as the day when Goddess Durga achieved victory over the
demon and similarly Krishna Janmastami as the day when God Krishna took birth
on the earth. The approaching festival, Tihar has got its
own significance, as it was regarded as the festival when Yama came to earth
and his sister kept him for entire five days. Generally, the brother sister
relation is understood by this festival, however, we do have other four days
for various meanings and having different set of indications.
But have we ever tried to figure out that there exists various scientific reasons for them equally. These festivals are all designed by our ancestor and we all accept this fact. What can probably be the way they designed our festival? What can be the probable logical reason behind this? I seriously have no idea who was the founder and who should be granted to all these credits, but all I know that each festival teaches us to be positive in life. Tihar, the day Bhai Tika is not just celebrated because Yama came to earth to his sister, but because it manages to bring the relation of brother and sister fresh and living one. The distance gets strong after marriage for any sister, but the day comes as the greatest excuse to bring brother and sister together and share time. Would there be any day as such for brother and sister if this day was not propounded by our ancestors? When would brother and sister get to sit and talk? It is the time, when neither brother in law, nor sister in law would be there. All the world will be with their respective brothers and sisters!

It is the time, when neither brother in law, nor sister in law would be there. All the world will be with their respective brothers and sisters!
Again, we have four other days that comes before the exact day of Bhai Tika. On the very first day, crow is worshipped. Does anyone regard Crow as God? But this day we give huge respect to this creature, which indirectly shapes our mind that there are lots of things to be learnt from crow. Union in privacy, boldness, storing away useful items, watchfulness and not easily trusting others is the specialties of
crow. And they give moral to any human life. It is the day, when we respect the creature, that we give damn at other times of the year. Again the day when Dog is worshipped, although at various other days we use the word 'kukkur' as the means of scolding word, on this day we give priority to dog. There are things to be learnt from this creature as well, waking up at any time when needed, devotion towards the master, bravery are the basic things to be learnt from dog. Dog has always been friend of human beigs from very past, they are friends and trustworthy creature because of their honesty and dedication towards human beings. Goverdhan Puja, when we worship dung signifies that useless things like dung equally have got priority in our daily life style. It teaches us, that there is normal process in everything. We even wipe our houses with dung, as the sign of purity?
Worshipping cow is next important feature out of these five
days. Cow teaches us sharing behavior. So despite these important features, it
over all explains we need not to be cruel to animals. It is the only day, we
show our gratitude to our national animal. Laxmi Pooja on the other hand is the
day when we worship our wealth. This is the day, when we bring out our property
and worship them. Everything we do, we do it for wealth and health. We need not
to do so huge for health, but due to the greed, our dedication towards wealth
is unlimited. On this very day, we pray to the Goddess of Wealth, Laxmi, and
worship wealth. We have to feel guilty, if the wealth is collected through
illegal and unfair ways.
Despite the fact, we curse dogs, we throw stones at crows, take
away milks from cow, and they are still good to us. So the festival teaches us
to have the power of tolerance. This festival has been teaching us that human
beings are not the only creature living in this world, there are other
creatures who have been living their lives like humans as well. They all play
important role, and have their own world. Human beings are supposed to be the
most creative and smart creature out of every other creatures. But, are we good
to others? What harm has the crow done to us? Why do we throw stones at them?
Dog has never been selfish, and has been obeying what we human beings say them
to. What have we human species ever done to dogs?
It is high time we now need to analyze why we are celebrating the festival apart from religious thought. May the festival bring entire happiness to you and your family. Happy Tihar!

I was once asked the person whom you admire the most...is I replied on the spot, without giving second though: Sunil Pokharel. He is the one who could have gained the tag of Bollywood Star, but he did not want to live the life of Udit Narayan Jha, and returned back to Nepal. I call him Father of Modern Theatre in Nepal. Sugam Pokarel has his own identity besides being his brother. He is my all time favorite singer. What would then stop me to make a post praising this song? Act of Sunil, Voice of Sugam!
I listened to this song for the very first time on Image Channel. I was highly impressed the very first time. I then searched in on Youtube and watched probably hundred times. The song is really inspiring one… The song is about the idol life, suggesting that the life be different every day.
The troubles and worries get lost. It wishes for the life where happiness of other would be concern; where laughter would be outcome of pride. Every evening, the day work could create satisfaction and the plan for next day could be designed. The happiness of this life would create smile for others too.
No one would get trouble from my life that one is living. Everyone could gain help from me when they ask. I will mix my dream in other’s wish. I will take the burden of others worries. May my life be watched by God.
The character, Sunil Pokharel begins his day getting out from his room. He then sees a beggar, and then something strikes his mind. If he donates some amount in the name of God, someone would take it. He could have a tea out of it, but he decides to hand the amount to that beggar. He drinks tea, wondering what next to do, and offers some grain to pigeon. He helps the people who actually want it. He also puts his idea to get the bags sold through sweet little child. Your heart will be overwhelmed when you see the smile of the satisfied child in the end. Maybe this is the indication that both physical and mental help can make someone happy. He ends up the day writing in diary the things that happened entire day.
Sunil Pokharel’s role can never be exactly traced without asking him. However, I perceived that one can help if he actually wants. Sunil Pokharel, the character of the video helped needy ones through money, through his hard work and through his mind. When one gains the idea that he’ll help, there can be various ways to help. It is the willingness that counts the most after all.
The idol life has been explained in the song.
Sugam Pokharel's voice has done justice to the lyrics. Sunil Pokharel's role has done justice to his character. Beni Madhav Bhattarai has wonderful lyrics, and Tsujil Karmacharya is always a great arranger. Nikesh Khadka must be admired for wonderful direction!
Yes, I hope for the same…. Mero Jiwan Yesto Hos….
My Bungo's Pickle
Oct 25, 2013
So this is going to be something crazy post this time. After I made the tweet regarding Bungo Ko Achar; there were many confusions regarding it. Few of them had tasted this, few of them had no idea what Bungo is all about! So, here I am today… as a chef… guiding how to make Bungo Ko Achar.
First of all, you need to have banana tree in your house! I hope you wont stop reading now, because you don’t have it. I am lucky to have it in my own house though'. Lucky Me!! Else, you need to ask someone for it. What is Bungo?? Have a look at the picture below the triangular ball like thing hanging there. I don’t know what they call it in English though'.

Else, you need to ask someone for it. What is Bungo?? Have a look at the picture below the triangular ball like thing hanging there. I don’t know what they call it in English though'.
So, you need to cut this thing. It is going to decay even if you don’t in the tree itself, and end up. People usually let it go, and just care about the banana. So, after the bananas are over, this thing can be cut down. Have a look how it actually looks!
Now, this is small piece. I was home late, and it almost escaped. So, I am planning to put it with potato. I love potato anyway, and I love mixing it with potato. You can however do it all alone. So, let me put it in the pressure cooker. Both potatoes and Bungo can get ready at the same time and then. Here I put it.
After few sitthis of around three to four; I let it cool down. Then I take out both bungo and potatoes out. Oh, they are still hot! I need to wait for some down so that they can cool and I can take out the peels.
Here it goes, I now take out the peels of both bungo and potatoes. I did not suppose it would get this small. I thought it would be for two meals, but seems like it is going to end up in one single meal. Okay, here are the skinless bungoes and potatoes.
Now, I cut it down into pieces. Actually it is easy now, it is simply like making potato's pickle now.
So, here it goes. I put til, beshar, amilo, oil and salt. You can add chilly, but none of other family members prefer chilly, so, how can I receive 'wow' if I put chilly? After all, when you cook, nothing tastes best than other's appreciation for your food.
Now, mixing entire things makes the pickle ready! Want to taste? I would let you free taste if blogger would provide the service… Hmm… or you can go through two ways… Either prepare it of your own following my steps, or else, you are invited to my home, Biratnagar, at the time when there's banana, to have the taste. Ohh! There is one more bungo hanging in my banana garden! Or else, you have no option besides expecting someone to offer you this. Why don’t you come my home rather? Let's together prepare the next bungo's pickle!!
I know you probably have ideas of making it better too. Do suggest me! Like I said earlier, I have got another bungo lined up...

Rap and My Experience…
Oct 17, 2013
Honestly, it was Girish and Pranil who introduced Rap in my
life. I was in grade 6 then, when I used to sing…. Ma yesto chhu, Ma testo chhu in the class… I had entire lyrics
mugged up thereby. Gradually I heard NSK then… Oh yes! I grew crazy fan of
Nepsyadaz and sweet fan of Unity as well.
Black Eyed Peas and Linkin Park came up next in my life
after that. Eminem’s song was difficult, however I listened to few of his
songs. My taste of music changed gradually… Rock, Metal, Sentimental…and I am
with Slow Rock these days. But I do have passion for rap still in my mind. So
there probably are hundred of rap singers right now in national and international
Rap World!
For Nepalese trend, I still have huge respect for Girish.
His song, his lyrics are the thing that makes me feel that Rap culture exists
in the country. For western culture, I think Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park and
Eminem are more than enough. I seriously don’t think I need to listen to any
others song. Oh yes… I liked Airplane thing the last time… Script ft Will I Am
was awesome part as well… But, I still miss the song like Where is the love? I
still miss the song like Drugs Mero girl,
Malai vote deu.
Rap song has separate entertainment. It creates energetic vibes within, one feels like bringing revolution through hot boiling blood. After all, rap is the best way to express the dissatisfaction and presenting the anger. You get to express your entire feelings without any feeling of lagging behind anyway. Rap needs to be rhyming and few catchy lines would further make it catchy. It is kept within the portion of hip hop music. Since 1960 itself, rap was regarded a slang term. And it means speaking fast or reading fast.
I wanted to sing few rap numbers too, and hence I remember
the days when I used to feel so smart when I used to chat few minutes with
Girish or Sudhin. After all, I belong to the city of BRT as well. My craze for
Rap gradually went down with the time, but today when I listen to Nepali Rap
music, I seriously feel like there is something missing! Maybe I am grown up,
or it could be that seriously something is lacking!
NO Death Penalties!!
Oct 9, 2013
10 October is marked as the World
Day Against the Death Penalty. I oppose the death penalty in all cases.
A state has to bear the responsibility to protect and promote their citizens
rights. When, the penalty of death is declared by the State itself, how can
that be so practical in assuring Human Rights?
A simple sense…
A son gives his half of the salary
to his father every month. He one day does something that he should not have
done. Can the father kill the son? State is father for every citizen. Every
citizens pay taxes to the state and, for criminal activity, can state legally
kill someone? In the name of Peace?
Death penalty invites crime, rather
than discouraging the crime. There can be other ways to punish the culprit, but
state has no right to violate the freedom of life. If state itself involes in
this task, state itself is going through Human Rights Violation. The state who
legalizes Death Penalty is no way supportive to Human Rights.
He killed 100 of peoples! He
should be hanged till death!
It is easy saying this. Emotionally his line
can be correct too, because there can be large number of anger, feeling of hatred
and feeling of frustration. But, that
does not mean, state has the power to kill the culprit violating his right to
live. The emotional part has to be kept aside in this case, and following
thoughts has to be taken into consideration:
- Does state has ethical right to kill its own citizen? It’s like, should a father kill his child?
- Does state has the power to violate someone’s Right to Live? Article 3 of UDHR states, Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. Now how ethical is it for state itself to go against this article?
- Does death solve problem? Life is not a movie, where the villain ends up with sentence to death. There are consequences ahead.
- What if the decision made was mistake? Can the life return back? A case in China: After years of ‘hang to death’ decision, it was identified that the person was innocent. How can state body answer at that time?
Since, a person has killed 7
innocent peoples; Government has decided to sentence him ‘Hang till Death’ and
is hanged till death. Is that HR Violation?
53% of the people said, it is not
the case of HRV. That indicates, people still think it fair for the country to
kill the culprit.
It’s World Day Against the Death Penalty. And,
my blog all concerns with a single thought…
Let’s all say NO TO DEATH PENALTY!!
And My Kalinchowk Visit....
Oct 8, 2013
And now, My visit to Kalinchowk:
Kalinchowk |
I had the feeling that
I will have to be there anyway; as I had given my word to be there. It was then
Magh 1st… Magh 1st is the day when Nepalese celebrate by eating
laddus… Ever since I came to Kathmandu, we were never likely to get laddus.. So
we made the plan on the very first year to go for trekking… We trekked
Manakamana… on the first year… On the second we did something, but I forgot
what it was..on the third..we sat at one of our friend’s room….and on fourth it
was my plan to trek till Kalinchowk.
We took bus early morning till Charikot… Took a room, kept
our bags, and went to Dolakha Bhimsenthan…and returned back…I had my friend’s
house, we went to visit him. Then, we bought stuffs necessary for next day, and
slept after late night talk.
We started trekking…three of us…at early five! We had the
idea that we’d be at a village by two hours..but even after five hours we could
not get a clue. It was ten, and then we felt we missed the way, and we were in
the wrong way. No one was there to talk, just we three…and entire empty world…
So, we sat and thought for a while. We remembered, there were two ways after
the pond, and we choose the right instead of left. So we rushed back to that
place again. And finally we found the village.
Me and My friend...Walking in a Wrong Way! |
We don’t walk in trekking speed. If it is five hours trek,
we take it eight. So, Kalinchowk was eight hours trek, we were assuming we’d
take 12. But we had lost three hours at some unknown place…. So we were
nervous! But we kept on walking… We had Tang, for energy drink, but did not
find water in single place. We could not think of our lunch without water, so
we planned to sit for lunch only when we get water. Still, we kept walking. Finally,
we saw a monkey…monkeys…and lot of monkeys…we could assume that water must be
somewhere nearby. Yeah’ we found water! We drank Tang like anything… It was 12
noon. And then sat for lunch, we had bread and jam, and noodles with us!
Oh yes!! We finally found Water!! |
My friend, Bipin with his lunch!! |
We wanted to sit for a while, but nope! We were out of time.
Now, what happened was, we saw a vehicle coming, and we asked for the lift…
They accepted! We were in the back.. Sitting back at the jeep, with all those
dusts and paining butts when the jeep jumped through road…we were all tired! And
it was the dust, that made us look funny even more! Children at Kuri laughed
seeing our idiotic condition there. And we reached straight Kalinchowk in the
vehicle at 3 pm. I still remember the black tea that we had at that height… at
Rs 10.. That was amazing!
My friend, Sujal drinking Tang after we got the Vehicle to lift us! |
Amazing Tea and Amazing Height! |
This is seriously amazing place…. Place of Devi.. At such a
peak….Truely, amazing place! Mountain views straight way..from the height of
almost 3900….With our praying, we returned back to Kuri. .. We loved the
hospitality they presented to us at the hotel. It was cold, we didn’t even
thought of getting out of bed. We sat there, ate there, slept there.
Mountain Sight... just WOW!! |
Next morning we woke up early. The water was freezing cold!!
Got fresh, and before sunrise, we trekked down to Charikot. We reached Charikot
at around 12, got the bus of Manthali returning back to Capital. Caught it, had
lunch in Mude, and returned back to Capital!
I don’t think I write travelling story in good way! Was this
that boring?
My Oracles
Oct 1, 2013
I was walking long
on the sun,
There was a tree,
blowing air till my chest.
It was tree as an
oracle, suggesting me to rest!
I was hungry,
uneaten for several days,
Weak, without any
food and empty clays.
There was a dog,
barking until I hear.
It was dog as an
oracle, suggesting me to beg walking near!
I was wet,
roofless under a rain,
Sneezing, with
coldness and pain.
There was a stone,
firm, rigid and bold!
It was a stone as
an oracle, suggesting me not to feel old!
I was frustrated,
for my poverty,
Troubled, with
only empty sack as my property.
There was a donkey
tied with rope,
It was a donkey as
an oracle, showing me my freedom of hope!
I was at the bank,
hearing the river flow,
Lonely, with dark
face and lost glow.
There was water
constantly moving for huge unity.
It was river as an
oracle, suggesting to be efficient for dignity!
I was confused for
reason to live,
Puzzled, with
heavy heart on the gloomy eve.
There was a
wounded fly being chased by lizard,
It was a fly as an
oracle, suggesting living life is hard!
Backbiting Society
Oct 1, 2013
Backbiting is gradually becoming the popular fast growing
trend in our society. Since the person cannot make criticism in front of the
person itself, he back bites the person and most of us; we do it time and
again. Out of various reasons, in order to raise our own position is the major
cause of back biting. However as a social trend, we also back bite as social
trend to support friends, and also in order to describe other person's negative
attribute in a state of anger. Backbiting is certainly not any good habit, and
is a responsible factor that builds negative attributes within us.
Tell The Truth
Sep 22, 2013
This is the story of Sri Lanka. The country, not so far from
us, and I am not writing any fiction story hereby!
Ragihar |
Jan, 2. 2006 is the date. Ragihar, a young guy was on the
beach, near their home with his friends. All of sudden, his father heard bomb
blast near the beach. Two of his brother returned back to home immediately,
Ragihar did not. Within few minutes, Dr Manoharan, his father heard his son
shouting 'Daddy'. His father rushed to the scene, but the navy guards did not
allow him to enter into the pace. They rather turned the lights off, where he
heard voices in Tamil crying asking for help!
Despite of his arguing, the guards did not let him in, and
suddenly gunfire flared thereby. Later they said, 'Five civilians are dead and
two are injured'....When he entered into the place, he saw first body of his
son with five gunshot wounds. Manoharan was rather asked to sign the statement
saying that his son belonged to Tamil Tigers and was fighting for the Tigers.
He refused.
Later, the Government claimed that his son and his friends
were killed in a grenade attack. Ever since, he took it as a challenge to the
authorities. He had been recieving threats time and again. The family had to
leave Sri Lanka as well.
Ragihar's Father, Dr Manoharan |
The petention is closed, Dr M is about to deliver 47,545
signatures to the UN asking Sri Lanka to tell truth about his son's death.
This is not my request here to sign petition, rather share
it as much as you can. Let all your world know, how Human Rights is violated.
It is all his request to the Sri Lankan Government to tell truth!!
Thank you Amnesty International, Thank you my friend Jim
McDonald for giving me the opportunity to blog it!!
Family life of Nepal
Sep 10, 2013
Located at the South Asia, Nepal is particularly famous for
the highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest and for the birth place of Gautam
Buddha, Lumbini! Nepal is particularly an agricultural country, where maximum
people live their life through agriculture. Nepal can be divided into two
segments, urban and rural areas. Although more than ninety percent of the
country is rural area, urban area are really crowded due to centralization. One
has to go to towns and cities for a good job or good education, as it is not
available in the village itself.

Crossing the sea
Sep 1, 2013
You thought I was lost,
maybe criticized my promise as well.
I was dying to maintain the trust,
No, how could you see me pale?
I tried to cross the sea,
to hold your hand.
But, the waves sent me,
back, and kept me with the sand.
I was all up for your smile,
trying to work all night and day.
Never I closed our chapter's file,
No, don't trust them, they will burn the hay!
I tried to cross the sea,
to hold your hand.
But, the waves sent me,
back, and kept me with the sand.
Justice to Adhikari Family
Sep 1, 2013
It was back in 2004, Maoists allegadly abducted Krishna Prasad Adhikari from Bakular village on suspicion of being an informer. Later, the police investigation into the case was closed after the case was government decided in June 2006 not to pursue investigations into wartime cases pending the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).
The family has accused some Maoist leaders of kidnapping Krishna Prasad Adhikari and killing him in June 6, 2004, in Chitwan. The case was closed in 2006. In 2013, the couple started a brief hunger strike outside the Prime Minister’s official residence. As the government did not respond to their demand, they started a fast-unto-death.The investigation into the killing started in mid-August. Despite the Supreme Court's order to revive the case, there are pressures to supress the cases. Adhikari's parents are on hunger strike at Bir Hospital. The ignorance of Governement, is really a shameful thing, beause despite of Government's earlier promises, they are unable to ensure justice till the date. Adhikari family are passing through worst state in the Hospital.
They certainly are not demanding the life of their son, but are only demanding to know the real state that their son went through. They do have right to information! And what is wrong in bowing down the head if they have done something wrong?
Instead of threatning, call it invisible power or making various other excuse making claims, it would rather be appreciable if they make a proper talk with the family!

Fashion-Physical and Social Comfort
Aug 16, 2013
'Fashion is all about getting physical and social comfort.' I kept my Facebook status this sometimes back. Although I did not receive any comments, but the number of likes was awesome. You may be the one to call yourself fashionable simply because you wear branded stuffs, but sorry to explain that I am writing something against it.
Who knows you?

WHO KNOWS YOU?
Unless you have an interest in literature, you will not recognize Jagdish Ghimire. You won't know who are Ashis and Prasan unless you are a radio listener. The list can go on.
This has to be accepted that all of them are heroes in their fields. Jagdish Ghimire is a renowned literary figure, Rhythm brothers are famous icons on the radio, recognized since a decade and half. Govinda Ram Agrawal is regarded as an idol for any Nepali management student. Kamal Khatri is again a famous name among today's teens known for his superb songs. Personally, even I won't be able to recognize Biraj Bhatta if he comes right in front of me. It is like that. Unless you have an interest in any area, people belonging to it will not be recognised. For example, there are many people who have no interest in Nepali films, so they will not be familiar with the Nepali actors. Take an interest and you will be no less than the Google.
All I wanted to direct my attention to was that we all have several interests, and our idols vary as per our interests. Some interests may be first-class while the other ones may be worth neglecting by the others. So, there is nothing wrong if someone fails to recognize your idol. One has to be extremely superb to be recognized by the people. Like Narayan Gopal. Idols work hard to stand out and become popular enough to be recognized by a significant percentage of the population.
However, in this crowd, there is a group that the entire population recognizes. Your granny recognizes them, so do your grandsons. Medical students recognize them, so do the students of law. Yes, they are the politicians.
They are known to all. Very little effort is needed for the people to recognize them. However, most of them have the negative tags. It is very difficult for Robin Tamang to be as famous as Prachanda! But, what is the use of negative fame? Only, if these leaders had a positive aura, their image would know no boundaries.
Politicians have the greatest scope of being well-recognized and have long-term impact on the minds of the people. There is no other field that will give a person the fame — good or bad — as politics. Maybe the leaders understand the equation.
If they understand, it would be all the more better not only for themselves but also for the country and the people. This is where the politicians seem to have tripped as they have all along been running for their personal interests rather than having the thoughts of the people and the country uppermost in their mind.It needs to be remembered that the politicians need to project their positive image rather than think that whatever they do will be forgiven.

Use of Vulgar Words
Jul 21, 2013
Country will certainly not be called 'advanced' unless the citizens get conscious about the country and their way of living. Although there are various factors responsible but there equally lies responsibility of we individuals. We all want respect from our society and we equally hope for status. We give equal importance to salary and status. We certainly won't happily do the job of barber if we are provided more salary leaving the job of manger just because of 'status'. We dream of being doctor, engineer, manager, nurse and earn good reputation in the society.
Reading Habit
Jun 17, 2013
How many hours per day or per week do you spend on reading? Wait! before you start counting, because I am not talking about reading some course book or text that you have. I am not talking about reading the official documents nor am I talking about reading news on Radio or Television (if you are news reader). I am talking about reading those stuffs that are none of the compulsion and that make your brain size larger.
Fighting against Forceful Prostitution

Youths are unavoidable portion for any task. Their
contribution for any task makes a significance difference in any mission or
campaign. Else, International community would never show interest in
encouraging youths for the achievement of the mission. Instance of political
parties having their youth network probably is enough to explain about youth
power!
The Urge to Spit
Apr 19, 2013
Oops!
Sorry!’, a well-dressed man with polished shoes said, after he spat on
me accidentally. It really spoilt my trousers. What could I say? Only a
“that’s fine”. I was definitely angry and anyone in my place would
certainly be. I also wanted to warn him ‘Don’t repeat it again on
anyone.’ Whether he understood or not, I could not make it out.
It is understandable that the urge to spit is not uncommon. This is especially true with us Nepalis. We never hestitate to spit anywhere we like; there are no rules to stop us doing it. But, that does not mean we should forget our duty to maintain the cleanliness of the place where we live and walk.
I agree that even in the cities the provision of dustbins is not in place. So the roads where we walk become the open garbage bins to go for this natural urge to clear our throat or lungs. In doing so, it creates a nuisance for others.
I am sure many of us have gone through the experience of people spitting wherever they like, mainly those who love chewing paan. People don’t mind indulging in this habit even from running buses without even bothering to see if anyone comes under its trajectory. The droplets are not only menacing as they may carry various germs and bacteria and can spread various diseases easily.
Only an awareness of keeping our environment clean can make the people search for a suitable place to get the irritant out. You can’t stop yourself from forgoing the necessity to eject what has induced your coughing. But, it is not only uncivilized but it creates an abhorrence in the sight of others.
Yes! You can throw it, but make sure it does not trouble anyone nearby. Sneezing requires a handkerchief so that your droplets don’t travel, but spitting is under your control and you must be responsible for it. Throw it when you are in the rest room or when you are at a lonely place. You can even stop on a busy road and seek a rubbish bin.
If you cannot resist the temptation, be sure to carry a polythene bag with you. Use it whenever the coughing bout starts. And, nowadays when the roads everywhere are covered in a cloud of dust, whatever you eject on the road or anywhere is bound to carry itself over a long distance and trouble somebody else.
This reminds me of my teacher who used to spit every two minutes as a habit rather than a necessity. This was a warning to the students but they could not help it. Always have a handkerchief with you to spit in.

Summer Blues
Apr 11, 2013
I LOVE
the winter. Although the water works trouble me, and despite being born
in the Tarai, I don’t prefer the summer at all. Now that the winter has
ended, the temperature is increasing and summer is on its way. Ice
cream and cold drinks can only get rid of the heat for a short time but
there will always be a long time ahead.
One thing everyone must focus on
during the summer is to drink plenty of water as the sweat excreted by
our bodies needs to be recovered. Thus, plenty of water is extremely
necessary. Try avoiding long walks during this season, because although
the distance you walk in the winter might be the same, you’ll feel
lazier and more tired. Energy drinks can certainly play important role
in re-energising your body, so keep an energy drink handy.
Saturdays can
be spent at swimming pools or parks. Visit a nearby park and revel in
the freshness. Most of us are lazy about opening the windows of our
rooms, despite knowing that air passes from one to another. So make sure
to open the windows and let the air move, making your room its passage
as that will help keep you cool. And this breeze can provide better cool
air than a rotating fan.
Also, try avoiding stale and junk food as this
is the time when diseases are rampant. Instead of spending on fast hot
food, try fruit juices from local juice shops as they help keep your
body fresh and alert. Mosquitœs, which can overwhelm in the summer, play
an important role in making you ill. So try to avoid mosquitœs as much
as possible with the use of netting and insect repellants. If you are
from the Tarai, you must be aware of the fact that the summer is also
prime snake season. Parents should stay concerned about their children
and limit their outdoor sports in unknown regions and instead, encourage
indoor games.
In schools, students are lined up for long in hot, humid
areas in the name of assemblies. So try to find a spot in the shade.
Also, opt for cool cotton clothes in light hues instead of dark colours.
Loose half pants are better than tight jeans. If you are exposing your
skin to the elements, you should probably also use sunblock and other
kinds of cream. Staying home with bottle of water and watching movies or
reading a novel would not be a bad alternative to going out in the hot
sun. Make sure that this summer is a safe one.
